Curated by Hoor Al QasimI, this exhibition focuses on works from Abdullah Al Saadi’s long history as an artist. Companionship is at the very centre of his artistic practice and has informed this exhibition in many ways. Al-Toubay was comprised of Camar Cande’s Journey (2010–2011), The Comparative Journey (2013), My Mother’s Letters (1998–2013) and The Watermelon Series (2013). This booklet accompanied the exhibition and includes a foreword from Al Qasimi as well as descriptions and visuals of the works on view.
