This publication, edited by Omar Kholeif, accompanies the Making New Time platform part of Sharjah Biennial 14: Leaving The Echo Chamber. The edition is not a classic catalogue that serves as a documentation of the exhibition, but is structured as a critical reader on the ideas and expressions of the platform’s theme. It is a collection of commissioned provocations, long-form essays and poems, from writers, filmmakers, poets and curators, who are interested in thinking about new perspectives of time and challenging linear narratives of history.
